The popularity of the Army Men cigars has been overwhelming! The Green Army Men and Blue Army Men have become some of the most sought after "unicorn cigars" in the cigar community.
As always, we want to deliver a better cigar than the last--especially when it's a series release like Black Army Men!
Black Army Men is a 5.5x46 corona-extra that is full-bodied and full-strength! The wrapper is a hybrid Corojo rosado leaf with fillers from Nicaragua and Indonesia. All of the tobacco used in Black Army Men is between 7-12 years old.
First light is overwhelming with it's spicy body. Black pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, and clove rush over the palate. Black coffee and maple syrup sweetness follows close behind. Hints of cashew and cream round out the finish. The retrohale burns like wasabi.
As it progresses, the body of the cigar becomes a dark leather. An additional vanilla note emerges. As it mixes with the spiciness it takes on the flavor of dark spiced rum.
Halfway, the blends begins to grow smoother. Milk chocolate and oak come to the fore. The finish is clean adding a hint of toasted nut.
The last third, the creaminess grows even more with notes of cinnamon spice and burnt sugar. Then...outta nowhere...comes a gentle hop flavor that makes the whole cigar take on a creamy oatmeal stout character. It's crazy!!
Black Army Men grabs you from the first puff and doesn't let you go until you're burning your lips and fingers on the nub. It's an absolutely outstanding cigar!
