Since that original 2015 production run, we’ve been re-imagining and re-working the ALL MY EX’S blend. We wanted to make it something MONUMENTAL! The kind of cigar you save for the birth of a baby…or your wedding. A cigar that is even beyond a “top-shelf”—it is something you lock away and save for the biggest moments of life!
When you’re blessed with the kind of tobaccos we have—you not only want to make amazing cigars for your fans to enjoy—but you want to make an impact with your cigars in the key moments in their lives!
And then as fate would have it…we came across some of the most gorgeous SCARLET-COLORED Sumatra wrapper we’d ever laid eyes on! It was absolutely beautiful—flawless—and the only thing better than its look was its intensely delicious flavor!
Seriously, the richness and flavor complexity in the ALL MY EX’S-SCARLET EDITION are totally awe-inspiring! It's even hard to describe some of the notes that we've detected in this phenomenal cigar!
In fact, the members of our “super-secret” tasting panel have all told us that ALL MY EX’S-SCARLET EDITION is one of the best cigars they have ever smoked! (Some of them have been smoking for several decades and never had a cigar like it!)
Fun fact—the Codename for this blend was “THE FORBIDDEN LADY IN RED”.
ALL MY EX’S-SCARLET EDITION is a full-bodied, med/full-strength 7x40 lancero. The wrapper is a decadent 9-year-aged Sumatra Rosado leaf. Binder and filler tobaccos will remain a closely guarded secret...but all tobaccos are 7-12 years aged!
First light is an explosion of intense flavors! Dark chocolate, brown sugar, cinnamon stick, and white pepper rush across the palate. Candied almonds, heavy cream, and caramel. The finish is long adding molasses and leather. The retrohale adds a warm pepper burn.
As it progresses, espresso with cream, maple syrup, and black pepper appear. A wave of vanilla bean immediately follows giving a lingering creamy sweetness.
Halfway, the flavors get richer and deeper! The chocolatey notes grow with added hints of bourbon oak barrel, and butter. Raw cane sugar sweetness and earth appear. Big blasts of buttercream wash over the palate. Absolutely delicious!
Last third is completely unbelievable! Toffee, black tea, toasted marshmallows, and chocolate chips are added. Roasted coffee beans, hickory, and all-spice. The burn is cool and the complexity continues to increase all the way to the nub of the nub! This is--without a doubt--one of the most delectable and delicious cigars I've ever tasted!
We consider ALL MY EX’S-SCARLET EDITION to be one of our finest achievements in cigar making! It’s the absolute perfect balance of strength, body, and flavor complexity!
