Here’s a cool little history lesson for ya...BURNT ENDS was originally the second limited-edition, small-batch release we ever created all the way back in 2015– and the The EVEN RARER Au Naturale limited edition saw it’s debut in 2017!
So, why oh why would it take us 5+ years to make some more?? Tobacco, my friend, it’s always the rare and limited tobaccos that takes so much time. (And it seems the last year or so that things are getting ever scarcer!)
But I will tell you as a friend…when you get a chance to light this baby up—you’ll be glad we took the time to do this just right!
BURNT ENDS AU NATURALE Ltd. is borderline magical! Seriously. It’s the PERFECT combination of strength and pepper with sugar and cream.
Flavors like this just shouldn’t be achievable in a cigar…but we’ve done it!
BURNT ENDS AU NATURALE Ltd. is a full-bodied, medium-strength 6.5x44 skinny toro with a broom foot. The wrapper is an ultra-silky 9-year-aged Connecticut leaf. Binder and filler tobaccos will remain a very closely guarded secret...But they are all 8-13 years aged!
First light is like Heaven. The huge creamy flavors awaken the palate balanced beautifully by the black pepper and spice. Big blasts of caramel, licorice, and milk chocolate follow. The finish is buttery and long. Retrohale is warm with a red pepper flake burn.
As the burn line reaches the wrapper leaf, everything elevates! A wave of rich leather is added to the mix. The sweetness becomes like raw sugar cane. The flavors begin to mature into total decadence. Notes of butter cream, hot chocolate, and white oak become dominant.
As it progresses, cashew, nougat, cinnamon, and Scotch flavors emerge. The finish is clean and flavorful. I notice myself smacking my lips after each puff because the flavors are just so unbelievable!
Last third, everything crescendos! Bold notes of brown sugar, cinnamon stick, licorice, red pepper, and butter. Creamed honey, maple, and brown ale. The burn is perfect and the cigar stays cool all the way to the nub!
