Everyone adores some delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies! They're sweet and savory...chocolatey, vanilla-y...just perfect! And it’s also the “holy grail” of all the dessert-style Ezra Zion cigar ever made!
I have a confession for ya....we’ve been completely OBSESSED with this NEW CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE XQ blend! You know us...we’re OCD about making every cigar better than the last!
If you were fortunate enough to get in on the first Chocolate Chip Cookie release (Back in 2018)...then you know how utterly delicious it was!
But I gotta tell ya...the CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE XQ is even more phenomenal! It’s richer and more intense than any other blend in the Chocolate Chip Series!
And just so you know—The designation as an “XQ” blend means “eXtra Quality”. It’s our own internal tobacco warehouse designation denoting the most elite and most luxurious tobaccos! ANY cigar made with this EXTREMELY RARE tobacco in it…is gonna stand head and shoulders above the rest!
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE XQ is a show-stopper! The rich, chocolatey and “cookie” flavors are incredible!
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE XQ is a full-bodied, med/full-strength 5.75x50 toro. The wrapper is a flawless and beautiful Criollo 98 leaf. Fillers are a closely guarded secret...but all tobaccos are 5-12 years aged!
First light is a huge wave of chocolate chips, maple, sweet cream, and baking spices. Roasted coffee beans, black pepper, and Madagascar vanilla immediately follow. The finish adds a lingering dark chocolate. The retrohale adds a warm pepper burn.
As it progresses, notes of dark brown sugar, white oak, and whipped cream appear. The blend gets toastier with hints of walnut, clove, and cinnamon stick. The balance is impeccably perfect!
Halfway, the blend gets silkier in character! Amazing notes of milk chocolate, cappuccino, cake frosting, and aged leather emerge. Toffee, dried fruit, cardamom, and graham cracker immediately follow. It's hard to describe how deep the flavors are. It's completely incredible!
Last third, everything crescendoes! Caramel, whiskey barrel, and nutmeg join the mix. Creamy espresso, custard, toasted almond, and Tootsie Roll (don't know how else to describe it.) The flavors continue to layer and layer over each other. The complexity is off the charts!
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE XQ is...dare I say it...one of our personal favorite blends ever! (I don't mean to sound cliché but even after so many years of making cigars we are still blown away by the delicious flavors that can be discovered in rare and vintage tobaccos!)
