It took us a long time to release another Makin' Bacon blend. The reason is simple...it had to be better than all it's predecessors!
We realized that the various projects we've done--Brass Knuckles, The Raven, Makin' Bacon, Blessed Leaf, etc.--have become institutions in their own right.
That sets the bar even higher than normal. Every single release has to not only be a home run...it has to be a Grand Slam!

Makin' Bacon Peppered is a short toro with a broom foot. We went out and got the oldest tobaccos we could find for this project. The filler is from Nicaragua, Indonesia, and Peru; all wrapped up in a decade old San Andres maduro leaf.
Those of you who are fans of vintage tobacco will absolutely fall in love with the Makin' Bacon Peppered!
First light is a huge blast of caramel and red pepper. Leather, milk chocolate, and nougat follow close behind. The retrohale burns--adding wasabi and jalepeno. The finish lingers forever on the palate adding notes of iced tea and clove.
The complexity of flavors in Makin' Bacon Peppered is off the charts...and that's even before the wrapper gets lit up!
As the burn line reaches the wrapper leaf, the whole blend elevates!
Italian espresso rushes into the blend along with a burnt oak barrel note. Hints of cocoa beans and dark porter beer emerge.
Halfway, white pepper begins to tingle the tongue. The flavors become more hearty and toasty. Dark chocolate joins the mix along with subtle taste of Irish Cream liquor.
Last third is utterly magnificent! The blend has evolved into even more depth and richness. All of the aforementioned flavors are more pronounced. The balance and complexity are mind-blowing!
Makin' Bacon Peppered is a cigar to be cherished! The years of tobacco cultivation, the craftsmanship of the cigar, and the phenomenal flavors it produces put this in a category all by itself!
