Yup, things just got real!
The "XQ" in Brass Knuckles XQ stands for "Extra Quality". The tobaccos we used for this very special project are some of the rarest and most vintage we've ever worked with.
We don't often get surprised by a blend...but this one just rocked our world! As it aged it became even more delicious and intriguing than when we blended it.
In fact, we found ourselves raiding the aging room to smoke these everyday. Breaking the cardinal rule: Don't get high on your own supply! (sorry, not sorry)
Brass Knuckles XQ is a full-bodied, med/full strength 6x52 classic toro. It features a 9-year-aged double-fermented Colorado wrapper. Filler tobaccos are from Nicaragua and Peru ranging from 7-9 years-aged.
First light is a blast of sweet cocoa, tanned leather, caramel, creamed espresso, and white pepper. Immediately following are flavors of toffee, cardamom, and sweet tea. The retrohale is adds a warm wasabi-like burn.
After an inch, rich dark chocolate and butter begin to emerge. Almond and brown sugar appear complimented by hints of red oak.
Halfway, the body and strength increase. Mocha and whipped cream flavors come to the fore. Blasts of nougat, toasted nuts, and custard on the finish. Unbelievably delicious!
Last third everything intensifies. Big waves of chocolate and jalapeño pepper. Creamy amaretto flavors appear. Waves of vanilla bean, cedar, and sweet earth. The burn is a razor's edge all the way to the nub!
Like I said, Brass Knuckles XQ is arguably the best Brass Knuckles blend yet! Its flavor profile and complexity are only matched by its impeccable balance and construction. This will earn the top spot on your top shelf!
