We released our first rendition of EZRA & Co. as the exclusive cigar in the Ezra Cigar & Coffee of the Month in October 2018. It got some of the greatest reviews in EZ history!
We were able to do a micro-batch run of just 175 cigars more! Instead of keeping them for our own enjoyment...we thought we'd share with the fine folks of the Ezra Zion Nation!
We absolutely adore this cigar! It's the perfect mix of complexity, richness, sophistication AND just enough medio tiempo ligero to let you know it's more than just a pretty face!
EZRA & Co. ORIGINAL BLEND is a full-bodied, medium strength toro. Tobaccos are all 7-8 year aged from Nicargua (Ometepe, Condega, Esteli), and Peru.
First light, is a huge wave of sweet caramel, spicy black pepper, European butter, and almond. The finish adds a big blast of dark chocolate and clove. The retrohale burns adding a note of cinnamon stick.
As it progresses, the creaminess grows. Hazelnut, milk chocolate, and fresh-brewed coffee flavors emerge. Vanilla bean notes linger long on the palate.
Halfway, toffee, brown sugar, and oak appear. The creaminess and coffee notes blend into a gorgeous cappuccino flavor. White pepper tingles on the finish. The balance of sweetness, woodiness, and pepper are utter perfection!
Last third, the richness and depth crescendo. The flavors intensify with more notes of sugar cookie, raw leather, and cocoa beans. The burn is spot on and the cigar stays cool all the way to the lip-burning nub!
A cigar this complex and sophisticated needs to be cherished! (I've got some secreted away in my personal humidor!)
