No Surrender was the first blend we did after the news of the FDA came crashing down on our industry. It was our way of expressing everything we were feeling at that snapshot in time.
No Surrender is our way of showing our grit and determination to stay in the fight for our precious cigar industry...and never EVER surrender!
We couldn't release No Surrender until now because we only had enough tobacco (at the time) to make a very small batch...like only enough for a few bundles. (Which we smoked very quickly.)
No Surrender is a magnificent full-bodied, med/full strength 5x52 robusto wrapped in an oily Corojo 99 leaf. Fillers are all rare 8-10 year aged from Nicaragua, Indonesia, and Ecuador.
First light is a blast of complexity! Caramel, maplewood, and cinnamon, followed by a wave of dark chocolate and a hazelnut finish. The flavors are aggressive and bold. The retrohale burns with just the right amount of spice.
As it progresses, the richness and depth grow. The flavors overwhelm the palate with more notes of whiskey, black pepper, and coffee bean. The finish is long and sweet with hints of vanilla.
Last third is amazing as the cigar comes to a crescendo! Layers of flavor compound as the blend takes on a smoothness only found in very aged tobacco. A tanned leather notes emerges in the body with hints of sweet tea, walnut, and anise. The chocolate flavor becomes sweeter, like a milk chocolate candy bar.
No Surrender is a show-stopper to the last lip-burning puff!
