As the sequel to the original Sawed-Off Shotgun release, we had to make it even better than the original!
Sawed-Off Shotgun Maduro is a full-bodied, med/full strength super toro. Wrapper is a 6-year-aged extra-fermented San Andres maduro leaf. Fillers are Nicaraguan tobaccos from Ometepe, Esteli, and Jalapa.
First light is a bouquet of complexity! Dark roasted coffee beans, almond rocha, milk chocolate wash over the palate. A big wave of heavy cream rushes the taste buds on the finish. Hints of mesquite wood and vanilla. Retrohale adds a warm cinnamon burn.
As it progresses and the wrapper begins to burn, dark chocolate and caramel notes begin to emerge. Beautiful hints of cedar wood, clove, and white pepper. The body of the cigar become even more rich and deep. The finish is long adding a note of butter.
Halfway, a gorgeous leathery flavor develops that really shows the age of the tobacco. Sugar cane and cashew are added. The blend becomes toasty and delectable. It's mouthwatering!
Last third, the flavors elevate even more! Big notes of cocoa and spice. Blasts of sweet tea, walnut, and nutmeg. The burn is perfect and the smoke is cool all the way to the nub!
