SAWED-OFF SHOTGUN XQ is a full-bodied, med/full strength 6.5x48 short churchill. Wrapper is a luscious Corojo 99 Rosado leaf. Fillers are a closely guarded secret...but they are all 7-13 years aged!
First light is shock and awe for your palette! Ultra-dark chocolate, espresso bean, black peppercorn, and toffee rush across your taste buds. Red oak, cashews, aged leather, and bourbon immediately follow. Hints of clove and butter linger long on the finish. The retrohale adds a fiery cinnamon burn.
As it progresses, the blend grows even more sophisticated. Semi-sweet chocolate chips, Madagascar vanilla bean, and toasted hazelnut emerge. Finish brings nots of spiced rum and cedar.
Halfway, the complexity continues to build. Cocoa, whipped cream, red pepper, and walnut appear. Blasts of nougat, earth, and malt on the finish. More complex that I can describe!
Last third, is flavor overload! Massive notes of maple wood, molasses, and dark beer. Ginger and all-spice. The burn is perfect and the cigar stays cool all the way to the lip-burning nub!
