The Raven

The cigar game went to the next level on this one!

We teamed up with our friends from BLK WKS in their Oveja Negra factory about a year ago to start this project. 

BLK WKS is known for their rare high quality maduro tobaccos and their artisan small-batch approach to cigar making. 

The result of this kindred-spirit philosophy is The Raven!

The Raven is a 7x38 lancero wrapped in a vintage San Andres maduro. Literally, it is a PERFECT maduro leaf! Oily with a dark chocolate hew, I swear this wrapper already has a glimmer of plume on it. 

At first light, sweet earthy caramel coats the palate. Black coffee rushes over the tongue on the finish. A beautiful cinnamon spice warms the nose on the retrohale.

Subtle notes of caraway seed, clove, and vanilla bean begin to emerge with each puff.

As it progresses, hickory wood becomes more prominent complimented by raw sugar cane and black tea. The retrohale picks up a note of walnuts.

The last third of The Raven bring a robust leather flavor to the mix. Roasted red pepper flakes emerge through the nose. The finish on the tongue is toffee, black licorice, cappuccino, and milk chocolate.

An intensely complex and perfectly balanced cigar, The Raven is full-bodied and medium strength. 

The rings on each cigar are hand crafted from pages of 100 year old dictionaries. 

We think The Raven is the best Ezra Zion lancero ever! Getcha some!
