THE RAVEN NEVERMORE 2020 adds yet another glorious chapter to the epic Raven Series saga. And this Raven is--just like it’s predecessors--a total and complete masterpiece!
The first RAVEN NEVERMORE was released many years ago. So long ago, in fact, that I don’t think any more exist. (At least we haven’t seen any out there.) It’s taken so long to release another NEVERMORE blend because the tobaccos in this colossal cigar are amongst some of the rarest in the world!
The richness, flavor complexity, and balance are phenomenal! It features some of the sweetest "caramel" tobaccos and some of the richest ligero tobaccos we've ever smoked!
This really is something EXTREMELY special!
THE RAVEN NEVERMORE 2020 is a full-bodied, med/full-strength 7x38 lancero. Wrapper is a vintage Corojo 99 leaf. Fillers will remain a closely guarded secret. All tobaccos aged between 9-12 years!
First light explodes with flavors of caramel, dark chocolate and black peppercorn. Espresso beans, candied almonds, and melted butter immediately follow. The finish adds a note of vanilla frosting. The retrohale adds a warming cinnamon burn.
As it progresses, bourbon, white chocolate, and nutmeg emerge. Hints of cloves, tanned leather, and cedar wood add amazing layers of complexity.
Halfway, the flavors grow even richer! Toffee and nougat emerge, making the blend even creamier. It's balanced beautifully by cinnamon stick and baking spices. A sweet brown sugar note lingers long on the fIrish. Incredible!
Last third, everything crescendos! Fresh-brewed coffee, sugar cane, and heavy cream come to the fore. All-spice and raw honey join the mix. The flavors intensify all the way to the nub of the nub! This cigar is completely delicious in every way!
